Meet your College Coach

Sarah has over 12 years of experience working in college admissions and college counseling. Having worked in both the university and high school setting she brings a wealth of knowledge to her work as she guides students through their college admission process. She started her career as an Admission Counselor at a small liberal arts college in New York City. She then served as an Assistant Director of Admissions at Rice University (top 20 University) in Houston, TX. At Rice, she recruited students all over the country, read thousands of applications, interviewed students, and made final decisions along with the admissions committee. Following her time at Rice, she wanted to help guide students through the whole process from start to finish. She worked as a Director of College Counseling at an independent high school in Houston for several years, transforming their program. Sarah returned to LA (her hometown) in the pandemic and recently served as an Associate Director of College Counseling at a private independent school in Los Angeles. 

She has experience working with students interested in competitive STEM programs, fine and performing arts programs, highly selective colleges including ivy league schools, and students with learning differences looking for a supportive college environment. She loves helping students through the entire college search and application process and helps students reach ambitious goals while also focusing on best fit. Sarah earned her professional Certificate in College Counseling through UCLA. She has a Masters in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Over the years, Sarah has read and evaluated over 5,000 college applications, interviewed hundreds of students, and participated in committee decisions to determine acceptances. She loves helping students through the college counseling process and strives to make the process an exciting journey of growth and self-discovery. She integrates her background in Positive Psychology into her work to help her students take a strengths based approach to the process. She loves helping students through the college search and makes a daunting process enjoyable and a chance for growth. Sarah is excited to meet you and help you through the college application process!
