Sarah’s passion for higher education started during her own college search. She grew up in Los Angeles and had a broad and thorough college search, landing at a small liberal arts college in upstate New York. In college, she served as a tour guide and admissions intern at Union College and Sarah Lawrence College which sparked her interest in the field. Upon graduating, she moved to NYC and served as an Admission Counselor at Marymount Manhattan College. Her next role took her to Houston to work at Rice University as an Assistant Director of Admissions. Through these experiences she learned how to help guide students through every step of the process while supporting them in finding the best fit and shining in their applications. Sarah transitioned to working with high school students as a college counselor where she gets to help students through their entire college search and application process. Sarah enjoyed working as a Director of College Counseling at a small private high school in Houston and as an Associate Director of College Counseling at a school in Los Angeles. Throughout her time in these roles she guided hundreds of students and families through the process with care, patience, and expertise. She also fostered relationships with admissions representatives at a broad range of universities. Sarah is now in private practice as a college counselor and works with a select group of families each admissions cycle. She has an office in Los Angeles where she meets with families in person but she also enjoys working with clients all over the country virtually. Over the years, Sarah has read and evaluated over 5,000 college applications, interviewed hundreds of students, and made committee decisions to determine acceptances. She earned her professional certificate in college counseling at UCLA. Sarah has the skills, passion, and experience to help guide students through the college application process. She also helps to calm anxious students and parents and make the journey pleasant for all involved.
